Every year School of Motion do a collaborative “Christmas card” made by their course Alumni. A theme is voted on and a colour palette is provided. For 2020, a very extremely sad and stressful year for most people due to Covid, the theme “How I  Survived 2020” was chosen.

I actually survived 2020 thanks to my boyfriend, but I was too pressed for time to attempt to 2 3D character design models (this was my first attempt) so I defaulted to my second answer which is my cats. It’s not very obvious, but I actually spent a long time studying their different fur patterns so that I could try and represent them as closely as possible. Naturally, I dressed myself in a big cosy jumper and some PJ bottoms because that’s what I wore for the majority of 2020.

The original colour palette was actually purple but I wanted to make it look more like a warm sunset on a late summer’s day.
